Twilight Blog Hop! Plus a New DICC!

Greetings fellow Twi-hards! Greetings! I have TWO projects today! First, I have a new Twilight project to share, and then a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge card.

Tonight is the night! It is the release for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2! I cannot believe that the last movie is finally being released. Will you be at a premiere? I am going to a marathon, though unfortunately  I won't be able to see all of the movies. I'll only be watching the last 3. But it will be loads of fun, none the less.

I decided that since this was the last movie, I needed to do one last Twilight hop. One more hurrah before it was all over. So, I asked which of my fellow Twi-friends wanted to hop along with me. Happily, there were 6 gals that wanted to join me. So there are 7 awesome stops in this Blog Hop. And we all made some fabulous, Twilight inspired projects! I am the first stop on the hop, so if you are just starting to hop, you are in the right place! Here's what I came up with.

Originally, I wasn't planning on making a card. But I came across this image that I had colored a while ago (from the now defunct Artful INKables), and it just kinda called out to me. Plus, I had just purchased the ribbon, and I needed to use it.

The "Fanpire" was also from Artful INKables, and the banner is from Bombshell Stamps (Banner Sayings...a bit cut up!) It's hard to tell but I popped up part of the banner.
Did you know that Twilight was the reason I started blogging? It's true! So I owe these books a whole lot. I have forged a lot of friendships because of this series, and I am forever grateful. I love all of the ladies that are hopping with me today. And I am so happy that our friendships have remained, even after the hype of Twilight had died down. Now, you are going to be WOWED during the rest of this hop! Wait until you see all of the awesome projects my dear friends have made! Here is the entire hop list.

And now it's time for a brand new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge. This time, we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear. Our itinerary was created by our newest DT Member, Scatty Jan. As always, you need to use at least 3 things that are on the list.

Scatty Jan's Itinerary
1. Christmas
2. Green/Red (main colors)
3. Shaped Cards
4. Twine
5. Buttons
6. Sparkle
7. Kraft Paper
8.Stitching - real/faux
9. Pearls
10. Flowers

This image is called Endless Love from Delicious Doodles. I have always wanted a dragon...not as a pet, but as a companion. I recently read a book to my kidlings called Loveabye Dragon and it was exactly what I always dreamed of... I really need to buy this book. But I digress...

Seriously...isn't this image beautiful? I used numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 from the itinerary. And I colored the image with my colored pencils. And just a wee bit of chalk on the edge.

I hope you like my creations today! Please be sure to not only visit all of the Hoppers in the Twilight Blog Hop, but also the rest of the DICC DT. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a fang-tastic day!

OOOh, that marathon sounds like so much fun! Lovin' your "Fanpire" card. Can't wait to see the film but so sad it's over. The DIC card is scruptious, too.

beautiful!! beautiful coloring too :)
Have to say, I'm not a Twilight fan but my daughter is. I recognized the card straight off though. The dragon card really, really appeals and I love the way you colored that dragon.

Our Favorites: ADfD Blog Hop

***Sorry for the late posting....Blogger doesn't always play nice! Today is the first day of our  ADFD Blog Hop  - a celebration of all of the beautiful images Tammy has created over the years. Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga

Remembering Aletha

Greetings, Friends. This post today is part of a very special blog hop. We are celebrating the life of an amazingly talented artist and friend. The crafting community lost Aletha Jane Williams on May 5, 2019. Those of us that worked with her on Design Teams or on Challenge Blogs all agree that she was one of the sweetest and most talented women we knew. We are not here to mourn her loss though. This hop is happening in conjunction with a very special celebration of her life and her art that her husband Bob is holding in her home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Please join us in honoring our incredibly creative friend Aletha . My card features the "Remembering Aletha" Sprite, which Mitzi (owner and artist of Aurora Wings ) created specifically for this hop. She is generously giving the digi away to all, over on her blog. This sweet Sprite looks so much like Aletha, and I know she would have been honored. If you download this digi for yourself, please be sure to give a huge "
