Not Halloween: Day 10 of 31 Days of Halloween

Confused by my title? I can’t guarantee that you’ll be less confused after reading my post… So let’s just cut to the chase, shall we?

Not-Halloween-1

At first glance, you may think these photos were taken at Halloween, while my sisters and I are wearing our costumes… Think again. See the Christmas Tree in the background???

I believe these shots were taken in ‘07. And it’s just us…being ridiculous. I don’t remember the whole story… I think we were just rummaging through our old toy chest, and all of these wonderful goodies came out.

Not-Halloween-2

Sorry for the crummy pics…I am pretty exhausted this morning. You can click on any of them to get a bigger shot though. I stamped Happy Halloween all over the background and added a question mark. I also stamped stars. These are both from Cosmo Cricket. The “Epic” comes from the Smeared Ink set Teen Style Sayings. Speaking of Smeared Ink…did you know that there is a surprise from them today??? Better run over to Terra’s Blog if you haven’t already to get all the deets.

Not-Halloween-3

So technically, it’s NOT Halloween, but I made it into a Halloween type page…so it counts right??? ;}

Here’s what I wrote since it’s probably a bit hard to read in these photos. On the background cardstock it says:

“Nope. Not Halloween. Not even close…note the Christmas Tree in the background. Just me and my sisters being ourselves. Weird.”

On the checkerboard paper it says:

“Look for:

1. A war helmet

2. A dress from the 70’s.

3. A Sorcerer’s hat

4. Crochet doll’s dress

5. A Christmas Tree”

Can you find all of those things??? Good luck! ;} Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Blogs, listed on my sidebar. And shhhhhh! Please don’t tell my sisters I put these pictures up! ;}

PS: Remember yesterday when I mentioned the Wild Flower Kids image I used reminded me of Pam? Well, she is wearing that costume here! Of course, she looked way cuter when she was 5, but at least you kind of get an idea of what I was remembering! ;}

As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga

Remembering Aletha

Greetings, Friends. This post today is part of a very special blog hop. We are celebrating the life of an amazingly talented artist and friend. The crafting community lost Aletha Jane Williams on May 5, 2019. Those of us that worked with her on Design Teams or on Challenge Blogs all agree that she was one of the sweetest and most talented women we knew. We are not here to mourn her loss though. This hop is happening in conjunction with a very special celebration of her life and her art that her husband Bob is holding in her home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Please join us in honoring our incredibly creative friend Aletha . My card features the "Remembering Aletha" Sprite, which Mitzi (owner and artist of Aurora Wings ) created specifically for this hop. She is generously giving the digi away to all, over on her blog. This sweet Sprite looks so much like Aletha, and I know she would have been honored. If you download this digi for yourself, please be sure to give a huge "
