Color Challenge #4: Jacob's Colors

So here it is… my last Color Challenge for Twilight Tuesday. It was short lived, but it sure was fun!!! I wanted to make a color story for Jacob. Here it is and what I wrote on the TTIC Blog:

Image

Ok Wolf Girls! This one is for you!!! This challenge is "Jacob's Colors!" We have russet for his skin/fur, back for his long locks (until he chops it off of course!), and olive... well, not every color has to have a meaning! And I really thought that olive green looked great with the other 2 colors! So, have fun and enjoy! You do NOT have to make a Jacob project (although I KNOW that Beth would be thrilled if you do!), make anything you want using these 3 colors. :D

Please join in for Twilight Tuesday's last Color Challenge! I am so glad that so many of you got so excited about these challenges. I am sorry that they have to end...  But, hopefully we will find each other in other challenge blogs! Can't wait to see what you create!

PS: I want to give an extra special Thank You to my wonderful friend Julie who helped me create these stars. There is NO way I could have done them without her amazing help. I love ya girl!!! I hope we can collaborate more in the future!!!

Here is my card featuring one of The Greeting Farm cuties. I know a lot of you use this one as Emmet, but I see him as Jacob as well.

Sorry about the shadow on the bottom. I wanted to keep this card kind of simple. Jacob doesn’t need a lot of decorations. He is just a guy who wears his emotions on his sleeve. You know how he’s feeling at all times. He doesn’t hide behind a smile. He’s just Jake. Take him or leave him.

He’s colored in with colored pencils. I think he looks so handsome!

The paw print and the “Jacob” is from Artful INKables. The torn paper is Black Magic Coredinations. I had embossed the paper with a Fiskars plate. See the dots? Subtle I know… but that’s how I liked it for this card. So there it is. My last TTIC Color Challenge. What do you think? I think you should go and make something! But first, our Design Team has fantastic projects to display for this  challenge – please go and check them out!

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga

Remembering Aletha

Greetings, Friends. This post today is part of a very special blog hop. We are celebrating the life of an amazingly talented artist and friend. The crafting community lost Aletha Jane Williams on May 5, 2019. Those of us that worked with her on Design Teams or on Challenge Blogs all agree that she was one of the sweetest and most talented women we knew. We are not here to mourn her loss though. This hop is happening in conjunction with a very special celebration of her life and her art that her husband Bob is holding in her home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Please join us in honoring our incredibly creative friend Aletha . My card features the "Remembering Aletha" Sprite, which Mitzi (owner and artist of Aurora Wings ) created specifically for this hop. She is generously giving the digi away to all, over on her blog. This sweet Sprite looks so much like Aletha, and I know she would have been honored. If you download this digi for yourself, please be sure to give a huge "
